Track Closures

There is a lot of work being done to the track at the moment to get it in fantastic condition before the race (and for the rest of the year). Ride Sheffield volunteers have been working every monday evening and did a big day on Sunday too.

This means that the track has some neater berms, reshaped and bigger (but still rollable) jumps and just a bit more fun and flow in there. What that also means is that the new sections are pretty soft and need time to settle and dry out and harden. So we have taken the decision to close the track. The entrance is taped off, as is every newly dug section. Please don’t just try and ride around it, as this brings organic matter on the the trail and creates more work, which means less time creating the good stuff.

The track will be closed for at least the next week (we are keen to get the track back open too) but please check on here for the definative word on if it is open or not! Any racers caught on the closed track will lose their entries

Your patience will most definitely be rewarded with the fastest and most fun track yet.

If you are interested in helping out on the track, Ride Sheffield will be up on the track from 5.30pm every monday until the race. See Ride Sheffield for more details

Thanks
