Steel city will be closed for the dig and will remain closed until the 29th November to let the patching settle. Dh3 and pub run open tomorrow but both will get a leaf blow and maybe a little pruning so be aware there may be people on the trails!
It’s not the announcement we wanted to make, but It’s not the announcement we wanted to make, but we’re sad to announce that there’s no Steel City Downhill race for 2024. Race calendars and other date clashes have conspired against us leaving us no option but to take a fallow year. We’ve been fighting to make it work, which is why we’ve taken a while to get this news out. As always, a huge thank you goes to each and every racer, spectator, marshall, exhibitor, helper and volunteer that helps us to make Steel City the great event that it is!
Greno news! DH3 is closed until Christmas holidays Greno news! DH3 is closed until Christmas holidays as they’re felling diseased larch trees at the bottom and up the side. This is being done by a large felling machine and the risks of having a tree fall on someone riding a closed trail that hasn’t been spotted are obvious, so please folks keep off until we say it’s open, clear and take the signs down. @wildsheffieldandrotherham are great with us as mtbers, so let’s help them do what they need as safely as possible. @steelcityseries @stevepeat
